Renovations underway

Posted by admin on 11 May 2008 | Tagged as: Blogging

Hello blogosphere! I had retired this blog for several reasons. I had been burned and burned out on the whole “internet maketing” niche in the process of putting together the aforementioned web series in the last quarter of last year. In addition family health issues once again took up my time so far this year. I now have a bit more time as things have stabilized and I have been re-energized to pursue earning and marketing online as of late.

I renewed some old acquaintances and made some new ones recently on Twitter. I have ignored the whole Web 2.0 “social media” phenomena up to this point. Not because I did not think it worthy, but basically, I did NOT fully understand what was going on or the ramifications. And honestly, it all intimidated me. I have joked on Twitter and to some of my new found online friends “I’m the Web 0.50″ guy! As I never got rich like every one else did with Web 1.0. Seems, I am always behind the curve :P  Until I get that tip sheet produced, if you are on Twitter you can follow me @RobertFowler.

The truth is am a very average guy, with ZERO tech skills, in fact I am a tech dummy. However, I found out recently on twitter that this does not have to be as complicated as I envisioned. In fact, in about a week’s time I meet several people that can and I am confident will help me realize an online dream that has been a hazy idea in my head for about 2 years. As that site develops I will post here more often as well as use this blog as a “guinea pig” for one of the few online marketers I meet on my quest last year that I truly respect. More on that in later posts.

In the mean time I have been asked to write a short Cliff Note’s version of how I use twitter. An “Everyman’s Guide” if you will, with some real examples of the contacts I made that will help me launch what I hope’s to be a very cool site that will prove valuable to alot of people. In short, I finally found my passion. More on that as well. I am brainstorming with various people and putting together an advisory board. While that is going from drawing board to actually online, I would like to test the one course I mentioned and highlight the methods and people that I have found in my PERSONAL experience to be REAL. ie they actually care about their customers/clients succeeding and not just in selling re-packaged junk or in how much they can bill you for “coaching”.

I hope everyone had a great Mother’s Day. I am off to video this blog and current Alexa to get a “before” starting point for the changes and hopeful improvements to come. Have a great week and stay real! :)

A MAYONNAISE JAR AND 2 CUPS OF COFFEE

Posted by admin on 10 Oct 2007 | Tagged as: Uncategorized

Today was one of those days………….the kind from Hades. Everything was bogging down, people were not keeping commitments, my hosting company dropped the ball, then had me on hold for an hour, blah, blah. LOL, I was on the verge of losing it, when an overseas friend sent the following email out of the blue.

When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar and the 2 cups of coffee.

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him.

When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full they agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar . Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous “yes.”

The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed.

“Now,” said the professor, as the laughter subsided, “I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things- your God, family, your children, your health, your friends, and your favorite passions–things that if everything else was lost and only they remained your life would still be full.

The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house, and your car.

The sand is everything else — the small stuff.

If you put the sand into the jar first,” he continued, “there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you.

Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with your children. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your partner out to dinner. Play another 18. There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal.

Take care of the golf balls first — the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.”

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented.

The professor smiled. “I’m glad you asked. It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there’s always room for a couple cups of coffee with a friend.”

I remember hearing this a LONG time ago. Today was perfect timing for me to hear it again, so I thought I would share it with the Blogosphere in hopes it might put things in perspective for another soul out there.

Oh! About an hour after I received this, I got a phone call that one of the biggest names on my wish list of participants in my upcoming JV project was in! More on that front soon.

Make it a great day or evening wherever you may be.  :)

Shocking Changes at BlogRush!

Posted by admin on 26 Sep 2007 | Tagged as: Uncategorized

The following email went out today from John Reese"

TO: All BlogRush Members

FROM: John Reese, Founder of BlogRush

ARE YOU READY? Because *everything* is about to change. Forget everything else up until now

PREPARE FOR *BIG* CHANGES! (TWO MAJOR CHANGES ARE NOW LIVE.)

BlogRush CANT EXIST if were not sending you a lot of ongoing, targeted traffic. We fully recognize this and thats why this is our ONLY FOCUS.

The BlogRush team has been hard at work making major improvements for you and we wont rest until BlogRush is running 100% smoothly and sending you tons of targeted traffic! This is OUR MISSION. Please know that our entire team is working around-the-clock to make improvements and fix any problems AS FAST AS HUMANLY POSSIBLE.

(We sincerely appreciate your patience.)

Weve encountered some problems since our historic launch just over a week ago, and we fully recognize that weve made some real goofs with the system for our Public Beta release

For example, our data center provider (one of the largest in the world) had a short, temporary outage (they had to replace a network switch) two days after our launch. We had no control over this outage but want to SINCERELY APOLOGIZE to those that saw this message on their blogs (where the widget should have been):

We are currently experiencing some technical issues and the site will be back online shortly. Please come back in a few minutes.

We were completely *EMBARRASSED* when we realized this happened. That simple message was part of our application code and was meant to appear only on *OUR* WEB SITE PAGES if we ever experienced an outage. This was accidentally marked to be a global error message for ANY outage including if our widget ever had a problem loading. This was a major GOOF and were willing to admit it. Our code was planned so that in the case of a problem with our widget, NOTHING WOULD LOAD in its place. So a visitor to your blog doesnt see an error or anything wrong should the widget ever have any technical issues.

This was quickly corrected and is now working properly. Should the widget ever have any problem loading in the future, your blog will be served a transparent space (which will show whatever background your blog design has) and your blog readers wont really notice anything.

Again, our sincere apologies for our major goof. It was quite embarrassing.

NOW ONTO SOME SERIOUS ISSUES

We also realize that we completely underestimated the number of unethical people that would sign up and proceed to CHEAT and try to game the BlogRush system. These cheaters ruined the click-rates of many of our members (and burned through a lot of their credits using automated exploit methods) and hurt BlogRushs ability to send maximum traffic to our honest members blogs.

BUT ALL OF THAT IS ABOUT TO BE ERASED LIKE IT NEVER HAPPENED.

In the next several days to come, were going to be rolling out MAJOR changes to BlogRush. BIG changes. And these changes (again) have just ONE primary purpose to drive more ongoing, targeted traffic to your blog.

Weve listened to your valued feedback and constructive criticism and we have been working in TURBO MODE to make the changes you want ASAP

HERES WHATS COMING IN THE NEXT 48 HOURS

100% MANUAL BLOG REVIEW.

Our team is going to be manually reviewing every single new blog that registers to participate in the BlogRush Network.

Well be applying some quality guidelines and criteria to our decision-making process. (Well be publishing these guidelines very soon.) If a blog does not meet our guidelines and criteria, THEY WILL BE REJECTED from the network and not allowed to join i.e. they wont be able to serve our widget, refer other users, or have their blog posts distributed across our network. They will have no access to any BlogRush services.

Our members, like YOU, made it LOUD AND CLEAR to us BlogRush needs to only have members that have quality blog content not blogs filled primarily with ads and other spammy looking JUNK.

The only accurate way were going to keep these junk blogs out of our network is to REVIEW EVERY SINGLE ONE BY HAND. And were willing to do it to protect the integrity of our network. I dont care what it costs us to hire more people (if we need them) to review 100% of any blog trying to join our network. We will be reviewing ALL OF THEM from here on out.

* We realize that several non-English language blogs blatantly ignored our ENGLISH BLOGS ONLY warning on our Registration page. Rest assured, though, theyll all be PURGED from the network when we do our QUALITY CONTROL AUDIT over the next several days (youll read about it in a moment).

As Ive said several times before, BlogRush isnt some passing fad or short-term service. Were dedicated to building an incredibly valuable resources for bloggers FOR MANY YEARS TO COME.

Well also be doing a QUALITY CONTROL AUDIT of all of our existing member blogs. Well be reviewing every single blog thats currently in our network (or that registers before the Manual Review Process becomes active.) And well be completely *REMOVING* any blogs in our network that dont meet our quality guidelines and criteria.

As you can probably tell by now, were not messing around. We have put a lot of hard work into the development of this service and we will continue to bust our butts to make it one of the best Internet services in the world. COUNT ON IT.

Were also deploying several new Anti-Cheat measures to SHUTDOWN AND WIPEOUT the cheaters and unethical users that have abused our network. Sorry, crooks, but THE FREE RIDE IS OVER.

Well be dedicating an entire department to stay on top of any abusive behavior in our network. We believe that our new measures are going to instantly eliminate most, if not all, of our system abuse. Its going to take us a few more days to roll-out all of these measures (and to complete our entire QUALITY CONTROL AUDIT) but rest assured, BlogRush is about to go through a major TRANSFORMATION.

And a quick word to any cheats that might be reading this letter its very possible that you may come up with something extremely creative that temporarily gets by us, but you should know something ITS NOT GOING TO BE WORTH YOUR TIME. And Im not just talking about the tiny amount of traffic that youll receive before we shut you off.

You see, we have other plans in the works

If you attempt to cheat or abuse our network in anyway, shape, or form, we will not hesitate to come after you. Our company is well funded and has plenty of resources. And we WILL use them to punish you to the fullest extent of the law (and civil court process). Oh, you think you can just hide behind some anonymous proxy IPs? Sorry, its not that easy. ANY reason youd have to try and cheat the BlogRush network for traffic and any attempt you make to monetize that traffic will lead directly to your front door whether its AdSense, any affiliate program in the world, any online pharmacy, porn site, casino ANYTHING. We will follow the trail and it WILL eventually lead to you.

Our hard-working company provides the income for MANY families. As the CEO of our company, I take this very seriously. I HAVE TO. People that attempt to abuse or cheat BlogRush are affecting the livelihood of all my employees and their families. And I will do everything in my power to protect them its MY DUTY.

So for all you cheaters that joined BlogRush and had your fun trying to siphon off some traffic, hopefully it was fun. And Ill go ahead and make this statement right now IF you were one of the people that has been cheating our network Im going to give you ONE opportunity quit now and well pretend it never happened. I think thats more than fair.

BUT if you continue after this point, all bets are off. We WILL eventually discover what youre doing, where youre trying to send traffic, and we will prosecute you. I GUARANTEE IT. Sorry, but WE HAVE NO CHOICE NOW.

* If youre one of our valued, HONEST users, Im very sorry you even have to read stuff like that. I know its a waste of your time. Unfortunately, there are unethical people in this world that attempt to abuse and take advantage of others.

MOVING ON

- ALSO COMING SOON! -

**** A LOT MORE CATEGORIES! ****

You asked for it, and youre getting it!

Were going to be greatly expanding our directory of categories to increase the relevancy of post links appearing in the widget on your blog this will also increase click-rates (and traffic) for all members.

* Stay tuned over the next several days for more news about the addition of new categories.

AND

**** IMPROVED REPORTING! ****

The current Dashboard stats are being under-reported for all users right now. This is the reason that users show discrepancies when looking at Google Analytics data (or other stats packages). Were currently sending more traffic to our users than were reporting in the Dashboard because we are giving all users bonus credits everyday. Well soon be reporting all bonus credit activity so all the numbers will be accurate.

SPECIAL NOTE TO ALL LOW-TRAFFIC MEMBERS: In the near future well be giving our low-traffic members (those that need more traffic the most) the BULK of our bonus credit allocations. Youll get a ton more bonus credits than high-traffic members because you really need it. Its only FAIR!

* Also we apologize to anyone that has seen a negative credit balance for their account. This is a minor bug that were taking care of. It doesnt mean anything and you can just ignore it for now. We apologize for any confusion.

**** IMPROVED NETWORK DISTRIBUTION ****

A few of our users have noticed that theyre building up credits faster than the system is using them. This will eventually balance itself out as the network continues to adjust to the growth levels and traffic patterns of each category because our network provides syndication distribution based on daily average cycles and then adjusts moving into the future; so its able to accurately predict how fast to use a certain users credits, etc. as compared to just using them all as fast as possible.

- AND HERE ARE *TWO* BRAND-NEW ADDITIONS THAT JUST WENT LIVE!!!! -

**** BLOGRUSH FLAVORS ARE NOW ACTIVE!

You can go login to your account, click the Settings tab and then select Flavors.

You can choose from (13) different widget colors. You no longer have to only use our original black widget design that many users thought was ugly! (Hey, just dont let our lead designer hear that he thought his black design was really cool.)

Now you can select a color that more closely matches the look of your blog. Our users have been asking for this since we launched our Public Beta, and weve taken action to offer these new options.

* We have future plans for further widget customization but were working on one stage of improvement at a time! Please bare with us. Were fully aware of the request for a more narrow widget as our current one doesnt fit on some blogs. Were trying to produce a solution and should have some news soon.

HERES THE BEST PART

You dont have to copy and paste new code to your blog. Just go to that Flavors section for your account, select the flavor you want, then hit the APPLY FLAVOR button. Thats it! Reload your blog in another browser window and take a look.

And if you want to see what a different flavor might look like, just pick another one, hit the APPLY FLAVOR button and reload your blog. PRESTO!

AND LAST BUT CERTAINLY NOT LEAST

***** BLOG POST CONTROLS *****

Under the Settings tab youll also find a new option called, My Post Control. Heres what this awesome new feature does

You can create POST FILTERS for your blog posts

For example, you can add a keyword or phrase and create a new post filter. If you ever create a post on your blog (while you have that filter active and you can add/delete them at anytime) that contains one of those keywords in the TITLE of your blog post, that post

WILL *NOT* BE SHOWN ACROSS THE NETWORK. And you wont use any of your syndication credits!

All bloggers post off-topic stuff from time to time, or short posts that dont have a ton of great content. Well, now you can easily keep any of those types of posts from using your valuable syndication credits and from being shown across the network!

This is GREAT for you because now you can control exactly which posts of yours will be syndicated. This can help you maximize your CLICK-RATES and, ultimately, the traffic you receive from the BlogRush network. AND it can help retain NEW READERS for your blog (your ultimate goal that can grow your blogs traffic on a day-to-day basis.)

Heres Why

By selecting which posts get syndicated (by simply adding filters right BEFORE you publish a post on your blog that you dont want to be used; or having setup one well in advance) you can make sure that youre only syndicating your BEST POSTS. The ones with top-quality content. Your posts that a new visitor to your blog will enjoy and be much more likely to make a YES! decision to become a regular reader for you!

AND OH YEAH, ONE MORE THING

This is only the very beginning for BlogRush. We have so much great stuff in store for you! As I said at the beginning of this letter we will continue to work VERY HARD to make improvements and add-ons with ONE PRIMARY FOCUS

To drive more ongoing targeted traffic to your blog.

I want to personally THANK YOU on behalf of our entire company for your interest in BlogRush. Weve received a lot of criticism from many bloggers on the Internet, and well be the first to admit were not perfect and a lot of it was WELL-DESERVED.

But please know, were busy working around the clock FOR YOU. You have our word on it.

Now go login to your account and try out some of the new Flavors for your blog! And also start setting up some Post Control Filters so you can start maximizing your content syndication.

Ill be in touch when I have more news to share. Thanks for reading this long letter. I had a lot to tell you about.

Best Regards,

John Reese, Founder of BlogRush

BlogRush: Dealing with Cheaters; 40+ Million posts served so far

Posted by admin on 20 Sep 2007 | Tagged as: Uncategorized

BlogRush launched 5 days ago and has shown the sheer vastness and potential of the Internet………not to mention the power of a good idea. As a new blogger I doubt anyone reading this has NOT seen or heard of BlogRush as it has been reviewed in countless other blogs and some of the "big boys" sent out emails to their lists etc. However, just in case you stumble across my space and have not signed up; click  here to watch the video  and read my previous post below.

I am copying an email that came out today from the BlogRush people, indicating they are dealing with the inevitable cheaters that have come out of the woordwork. I know this was a big concern to more then a few, so it is good news to hear they are on it.

"We’re about 5 days into the launch of BlogRush and its growth has been nothing short of EXPLOSIVE. We’ve served over 40 MILLION blog headlines (i.e. blog post titles and links to the full post.) And each day that passes is serving more than the previous day — it’s truly growing virally.

By now you’ve probably seen write-ups and discussion about BlogRush all over blogs, discussion forums, and in email newsletters. Many have raved about the service while others have been very critical of it. We certainly welcome ALL criticism and feedback, good or bad. It’s the only way we will be able to improve the service to help our users generate more targeted traffic to their blogs.

Now I Know How Google Feels

Unfortunately, the bozos have come out of the woodwork and are trying to cheat the BlogRush system. We have quite a few users that are abusing the system — from running scripts to auto-load the widget, to other fraudulent methods to earn syndication credits for their account that they do not deserve.

These ‘cheaters’ are hurting the overall network and dramatically lowering the click-through rates for our good users. It’s obvious since their “impressions” are not even seen by humans and therefore are not sending any traffic to other users.

There have also been concerns about the QUALITY of blogs in the BlogRush network. Some poor quality blogs (I wouldn’t even call them blogs.. more like pages of junk and ads) have been added to BlogRush and it’s creating a problem.

What We’re Doing About These Issues

1. We’re moving to a MANUAL REVIEW process. No more automation. We will be reviewing ALL blogs submitted to BlogRush. If the quality of the blog is poor, they will not be allowed to participate. We’re going to start reviewing ALL the blogs that are currently in our network and will be disabling the accounts for poor quality blogs.

2. We’re continuing to add security measures to our system and we will be mass-removing any and all cheaters that we discover. We will not rest until the cheaters are WIPED OUT and kept from abusing our network. The manual review process will help eliminate most of them as legitimate bloggers that have put in the time to create a decent blog aren’t the types that are going to be abusing the system.

All of these changes will only benefit our users — it wil increase their click-through rates and drive more traffic to their blogs. It will also make sure that the blogs their widget links to are only quality blogs.

For everyone that has signed up for an account and has been testing BlogRush on their blog, thank you for your patience. Please know that we are working as quickly as possible to improve the service."

BlogRush knocks it out of the park!

Posted by admin on 19 Sep 2007 | Tagged as: Blogging

Ever seen something and immediately said to yourself “why didn’t I think of that?”……..or wish you had the know how, or programming friends etc. :P This was heavily promoted when it went live last weekend, but just in case you missed it I will give a brief summary.

If you have a blog you want BlogRush. Why? It’s Free and brings traffic to your site………..potentially MASSIVE traffic.

The image to the right is the BlogRush widget, you can also see it in my side bar. And I am sure you have seen it on other blogs since last Sunday morning. This thing is ingenious, talk about viral! Ok, you go to the site and register for a free account, add your blog(s), choose your category and your feed URL. In less then 60 seconds you are set up. Copy and paste the code to your blog or website and you are now earning credits.

Each time your blog loads you receive 1 credit. If you notice on the image to the right there are 5 posts shown from various blogs. So every time your blog or website has a page view, those titles rotate. For example if I have 100 page views today, I just earned a 100 credits of where this blog post will show up somewhere else. Now a couple of key and cool points. Remember in the paragraph above I said “choose your category”. The content that shows up in my widget in my sidebar will be “marketing” related………and my posts will show up on other blogs of the same category. Makes sense right? So if you have a sports related blog, you will be getting your content in front of folks with the same interest you probably would have never reached.

Lastly, your credits are syndicated 10 levels deep. In other words, if someone signed up using my link and had a big audience, I benefit. If they get 1000 impressions a day, so do I! That is why I stated the potential traffic is massive. It really is free, no up sell, or OTO offer, none of that. Go watch the video and sign up if you haven’t. I would appreciate if you are hearing this for first time that you use my link and then go tell all your blogging friends to sign up under you and watch your credits grow………and hopefully your audience.

A quick real experience I had with this yesterday. I was changing some things on my sidebar and a title of a post in my widget caught my attention. I clicked on it and was take to Lynn Terry’s ClickNewz! site. I had never seen here blog before. I had heard of her from some other marketers in the past, but I have never meet her or read her stuff. I really liked her blog. Not to mention she has been online and earning a lot longer then I have. Guess what? I subscribed to her feed and left her a comment that I found her via BlogRush! In addition I found out she has a forum I never knew about. Bottom line, I “stumbled” upon a great source of content and information. This will happen every day all the time all over the net 24/7. John Reese is a genius! Go watch the video and get your widget up and GET READY FOR FREE TRAFFIC.

CB Affiliate Formula Live at 12 EST 9-18

Posted by admin on 18 Sep 2007 | Tagged as: Affliate Marketing, ClickBank

I just received the last email from Andrew regarding CB Affiliate Formula opening. As I do not have a large list yet………you are probably reading this too late, or have already joined! lol There were over 30 affiliates promoting it and there were 8000 people on the early notification list. ie those that watched the video and chose to opt in to the VIP list. There will be only 1000 spots at the opening discount pricing. $77 now, after 1000 people I assume it is going up.

Now even if you have NO interest in this product it is an excellent case study. I am as sick of the launch-o-week……….if not day. Mark Joyner actually has a coaching product launching today as well. The point is you can LEARN a ton observing the Andrew Foxes of the world. This guy is the real deal. If you watched the video I think you could tell this was not another “Johnny come lately” or another wannabe that loves to talk about himself and name drop in daily emails. (LOL, you know the type)

Think about it……..1000 paying $77 per month. That is easy math and not a bad lifestyle! Obviously this is a small niche, ie how to successfully market digital products via ClickBank……… and I’m sure he will “sell out” quickly. Again, watch and learn from those that have “been there, done that” even if you have no interest in the product. Modeling successful people is a well known short cut to success. However, I am definately joining here. There are 2 JVs a month, a private forum of like minded folk……….and a 56 day money back guarantee. Like I said in my last post one of my mentors who spends over $700 per month on membership sites and private forums highly recommended Andrew and this product.

CB Affiliate Formula goes live tomorrow!

Posted by admin on 17 Sep 2007 | Tagged as: Affliate Marketing, ClickBank

I’ve just watched a *MASSIVE* free content video about how YOU can create huge affiliate pay days.

In the video it show’s PROOF of how Andrew Fox, a king pin affiliate created pay days like…

- $70,728,27 in Commissions
in 7 days.

- $29,813.00 Selling Pay Per
Click software in 2 days.

- $90,388.85 selling Clickbank products (only one of his accounts).

This is 13 minutes of *PROOF* content that will CRUSH any ideas about Internet Marketing you have.

PS: There is no opt in or name required to watch this massive affiliate pay day video. Be warned though, expect some BIG backlash from the so called Guru’s…

I purchased Andrew’s Dominating ClickBank product this past summer and was impressed. (It is the product that is featured in the upper left peel away of this page). His videos were very well done and thorough. This guy “walks the walk” but is one of those people that can teach as well. This course came highly recommended to me by one of my mentors, Scott Boulch (who I will post about in the future). Scott has earned in excess of six figures for the past 3 years in affiliate income and he advised me he was definitely getting involved. That is good enough endorsement for me!

So, if you have any interest in learning what really works as an affiliate and/or publisher using the ClickBank network, check it out. It is only 13 minutes and I bet your eyes are opened to some bigger possiblities.

Affiliate Marketing: best way to start for newbies

Posted by admin on 15 Sep 2007 | Tagged as: Affliate Marketing

I realize it has been over 3 weeks since I last posted here. My original plan was to blog more often, however I have put this on the back burner for now as a couple of opportunites came up since the last post. Long story short, I am going through the learning curve of earning via affiliate marketing and AdWords etc. I am currently in the beginning phases of an apprenticeship program with some guys that make a very good living doing Adwords marketing. In addition, I just completed an excellent coaching program with a guy I highly respect in the self development field. The immediate offshoot of that was my partnering up so to speak with this gentleman and I will be marketing and promoting his methods and technologies via a new site as a licensee of his products.

I will update on both these projects and give the URL of the new site in next few days hopefully. I originally planned this space being basically a personal journal of what is working (or not) in my personal online endeavors. That will still be the case, but I am busy trying to make an online living and going through the learning curve for such. Obviously, blogging is all the rage and here to stay ………..so I am learning that technology and hope to have some interviews and/or videos with others with more experience then I on how to monetize your blog.

In the mean time the best resources I can recommend in regards to affiliate marketing are listed below. Just click on the banner to get the full description of the products. These are both very well known and his hardly a scoop, lol. However, if you are new to affiliate marketing and/or you thought these 2 eBooks were just BS and fluff like most………think again. These are definitely recommended reading IF you are serious about AdWords and making some extra cash or a full time income. I have gotten to know the author Chris via email in the last few months. He is a real guy, he really makes his living with the methods he details. Though he is a “guru” imo, he does not act like it and has not let all his success go to his head :)

Adwords Miracle is the primer if you know nothing about AdWords. It is the starting point if you have never utilized that form of marketing. Affiliate Project X builds on the knowledge detailed in Adwords Miracle. If you have some experience, especially bad experience with Adwords, Affiliate Project X goes into great detail of tried and true methods used by the author. This is not theory, this stuff works……..if you are willing to put it to work; like anything else. I paid for both and highly recommend them if have an interest in learning this subject matter.

Setting up this new blog………….almost there!

Posted by admin on 22 Aug 2007 | Tagged as: Uncategorized

I had hoped to start posting about 3 weeks ago, but better late then never! I have been looking at and reviewing alot of different opportunities and exploring some JVs with different folks which put this on the back burner a bit. However, I will post to catch up through the weekend.  :) I have learned alot starting this blog, which is my second, and it has been fun and rewarding. My first adventure, I had others do most of the work as I was technologically intimidated! Back then I did not know my HTML from my FTP, lol.

I want to thank and recommend Curt Crowley of  US-Isp.com who is my host for this site and others to come. US-Isp is a one man show, but for my needs I like that. Curt is an extremely knowledgeable tech and can help you with some scripts and programming if you have such needs at very affordable rates. His hosting prices are hard to beat, unless you just want a big company with 24/7 tech support. I like the personal service and knowing who I am dealing with. Kind of like banking, I prefer small over big but that is just me. While he does offer re-seller packages, I do not have one and get nothing for this endorsement, just an FYI :)

Also if you ever have any graphic needs, online or off, and if you think the header for this blog is kinda cool I highly recommend Kreg Reeder of  ScionServices.com.  Again, a one man show with excellent customer service and pricing I doubt you will beat.

I need to make some changes and additions to my Recommended Resources Report then will play catch up on a lot of things that have come out in the last month.
